PRICE, WILSON OLIVER "WILLYBOB","WILBERT""SILWIN", 20 , passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. Wilson was born on September 22, 2003 in Fairhope, Alabama to Thomas "Tommy" and Blakeley {Stapleton} Price.

The first thing you noticed about Wilson was the smile that filled his face. It was always present, instantly inviting you into his world. And those of us privileged enough to know him were able to learn the infinite depth of his kindness, gentleness, friendship, and sense of humor.

Wilson excelled at everything he tried, baseball, hunting, fishing (well maybe not so much fishing), and most recently golf. He was fearless of any challenge. Whereas no one else in the family likes to climb a stepladder, Wilson would climb up a water tower and sit on the peak.

Parents have the honor of naming their children but personalities like Wilson earn nicknames applied by friends and family. The first was Silwin, one of the earliest words from his baby sister, Savannah. But well-loved people like him gather multiple nicknames. Wilbert from his teasing grandparents, whom he called "The Old People", and "Willy Boy" by his fun-loving friends.

Wilson is survived by his parents Tommy and Blakeley; brothers Jackson and Eli; sister Savannah; grandparents Debra Green(Bobby) and Chris Price; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his Papa Thomas Price, Jr and many other family members and other close friends.

To best describe Wilson, the words of his dear friends can tell his story best:

Wilson was the most reliable and loyal friend and would be there in a heartbeat for anyone that needed help. He had the greatest personality. ~Brock Haviland

Wilson was the most loyal guy. He always made sure everyone had a smile on their faces. His personality was unmatched. When he walked in any room the beam that he had lit the room up. ~ Jaxton Henning

Someone said it best that," To have met or know Wilson is to be loved by him." Every step, word, and breath was an act of affection and love from Wilson. He is truly the greatest man to be friends with. We all have friends, but Wilson is everyone's BEST friend. I'll forever remember our school days, working with him on the road haulin' sheds (the only time he was ever really in the passenger seat), and all the adventures we'd do as a group. Wilson hated being asked, "what are we doing tonight", but his plans always turned into the best fun. It was such a privilege to have a friendship with Wilson. He always would be the one to sit with you and listen, able to keep a secret and never make you feel embarrassed or ashamed for anything. To us, Wilson was never the lovey/affectionate type but he was never scared to say, "Love ya Bro" or give a good hug. He loved to cook and turned out to be pretty damn good on a grill, frying fish, or trying to compete with his mom's spaghetti. Nothing could ever compete, compare or replace Wilson. It'll be easier to remember him than to forget him. War Damn Eagle! ~ Camden Cripps

Wilson was not only my best friend but my brother. From him giving me every bit of advice I needed no matter if it was relationship, work, or just life advice in general, he was the guy I went too. I looked up to Wilson. I wanted to be like Wilson. He knew his goals and worked his ass off for them. He wouldn't let anyone get in the way of his goals. And that's something I dearly admired about him. He is irreplaceable. Hands down the best guy I ever met. ~ Caeden Keuther

Well, I don't really know where to start. I have a million different things I want to say about you Wilson, probably enough that I could talk about you for a year straight. But when it comes down to shortening it up and I don't even know where to start. We had some of the best memories pretty much every time we did something together it was an adventure in and of itself from us just going over to one another's house for a football game or watching a fight to going to a house party and crashing it.  the memories are truly endless but I would have to say some of the best memories came from the lake. Wilson had a bass boat that he was very proud of but every time we took it out something would happen to it first off the battery was dead every single time, and I had to use my boat to jumpstart him. it got to the point where I just gave him, the jumper cables out of my truck, so if he ever went out on his own, he could flag someone down to jumpstart him. I remember one time his trim stopped working at the boat ramp, and instead of us not going out on the boat we took the trim mechanism apart and still went out on the water we just couldn't use reverse because every time we did, the motor would fly up out of the water and slam back down. or the countless times that the lights on his boat didn't work, so he always stayed right behind me when we were coming back in so that the game warden wouldn't stop us but best of all was all of the late nights by the campfire just laughing, drinking, telling stupid stories making fun of each other and running off on random adventure like Jaxton trying to climb a tree or the time we saw a possum and we thought it be a good idea to go catch it. Honestly, I can't think of my favorite memory because I loved all of them. We always had the best time even know we were all on a budget, but Wilson made sure that we had the best time of our lives. Even when we were down he was right there cracking jokes bringing us right back up. I honestly can't say enough good things about you, Wilson you were just a great guy all around and, if I live up to be half the man you are, I would be OK with that Wilson you are truly going to be missed and it's not gonna be the same without you buddy I love you man keep the lights on for us up there and war damn eagle  ~ Aydan Tommer

To know Wilson was to love him. He genuinely was one of my most favorite people in the world. I'll never forget that sweet "Hey Miss Erin" in his deep southern voice followed by his big hug every time he saw me. Speaking of that deep voice, one of my funniest memories of Wilson was before I met him. He dated my daughter, Morgan through most of their high school years.  We had heard his name but not yet met him when we came home one night and Morgan was on the phone with someone and they were playing a video game. Well she had this guy on speaker phone and the minute we heard him, her dad and I about broke our necks wondering who this grown man was our 15 year old daughter was on the phone with!!! Needless to say, that voice belonged to Mr. Wilson and we grew (pretty quickly) to love the guy behind that deep voice. Wilson was such a light in our lives. He loved Morgan more than life itself, he was the big brother to my son Keegan and always kept an eye on him for me, he was the best boyfriend to Morgan that her dad and I could have ever asked for. I will forever feel blessed to have gotten to be a part of his life and have the opportunity to also count Tommy and Blakeley as family. There will forever be a hole in our hearts but I can at least smile knowing we've all got one hell of a guardian angel watching over us.

To say Wilson was special would be an understatement. I know a lot of people say that about people they care about, but he was different from anyone else I'd ever met. He made a lasting impression on anyone he crossed paths with, even if it was just a short while. Wilson was such a light in my life. At first it was hard to look at pictures of him, but after a couple days all I wanted to see was his smile, hear his laugh and his voice. Just the memory of him is enough to put a smile on my face and always has been. A memory I will always hold close is that Wilson and his dad got me my first deer. Wilson taught me how to shoot, and was so proud of me afterward. He introduced me to countless things, one being grilled oysters, which I never thought I'd enjoy till Wilson took me to Alabama. I know he left this life knowing how loved and cherished he was. Everyone knew he was special and it made me feel special to be loved by him for so long and be a part of his world and his family. Wilson will always live in a significant part of me and my heart. I take comfort in knowing he was needed for greater things and that he fulfilled what God needed him to in his short 20 years. Wilson was always bigger than this life and he was just called to the next. Although I will never be the same, I live for the day that I'll get to see him again. ~ Morgan Rousseau

Wilson was one of the best friends you could ask for. He was the person I could turn to, to talk about anything. When I needed him he was always there and if I said I needed someone to talk to or just didn't want to be alone he would drop what he was doing to be there for me. He always knew just what to say to cheer me up or make me laugh. The memories with him are unforgettable from jamming out to Jason Aldean to watching college football with him every weekend. He was just overall the best person to be around and someone you couldn't stay mad at no matter how hard you tried. He was the sweetest soul and he will forever remain a big piece of my heart even if he's not here. -Kallie Smith

Wilson lived more in his twenty years than most live in eighty. We may THINK he will never hit another baseball, smash a tee shot down the middle, bag another deer, cook a meal for his buddies, or down another(almost) legal beer, but we would be so wrong. As long as we remember him, he will forever be beside us in everything we do. Wilson is so strongly embedded in our hearts and minds that he can be the endless inspiration for us to climb that ladder of life with a little more courage.

A Celebration of Wilson's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the Andover United Methodist Church, 1429 N. Andover Rd., Andover. There will be a service in Baldwin County, Alabama to be announced at a later date.
