Hayes, William "Billy" Harold, 72, passed away In Wichita, on January 16, 2022

B illy was born to Ralph and Mary (Danford) Hayes on April 19, 1949 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He attended Burlington and Niceville High School and graduated with the class of 1968. He later served in the U. S. Air Force as an Electronic Engineer Technician, and served in Korea, Turkey, Vietnam, Japan, and all over the U.S. Later, he built radio towers for a living and was involved in the H.A.A.R.P project.

B illy's interests included electronics, rebuilding computers, "tearing things apart and putting them back together," motorcycles, scooters, etc. While he was in the area working in towers, he met Paula Carver ("The Wild Rose") over coffee. They married in 2011 and Paula passed away in 2013.

B illy enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, especially Nicholas and Adyson. He was a great man with a big heart and a lot of friends.

Billy is survived by his children Tina, Tonya, Tammy, Billy, Joseph, Mary, Rachai, Billie, Ryan, Chad and Crystal; many grandchildren; some great grandchildren; siblings Shirley Fritch and Nancy Raymer and his beloved dog Baxter and many more loved ones. He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Mary; wife Paula;  siblings Fonda Lang and Richard Hayes and many other loved ones.

Services will be Saturday February 12, 2022 at 2pm at First Christian Church in LaCrosse,KS.
