Rupert, William "Bill" Dale, 68, passed away January 5, 2023 at his residence in El Dorado.

"B ill" Rupert was born to Alfred and Betty (Hostettler) Rupert on January 8, 1954. He grew up in El Dorado and went to El Dorado High School, Class of in 1972, but didn't graduate (He later got his G.E.D.). Bill married Shyrl Williams on January 6, 1973 and they remained married for 39 years until she passed away on January 4, 2012. He started out working construction (especially log homes), but later did Tool and Dye work at Boeing. After 24 years, he retired to take care of wife Shyrl (now deceased).

B ill loved tinkering and old cars, especially muscle cars, especially '57 Chevys and was a member of River City Rod and Custom (RCRC) car club, where he made many friends. He had a group of like-minded friends he'd visit with each morning at the "Cave." Bill was good-hearted and would do anything to help anybody. He enjoyed people watching and gambling, and lived life to the fullest. He was always appreciative for what people did for him but he could be ornery as well.

B ill is survived by his daughter Jodi Melissa Rupert; 4 brothers and girlfriend Glenda Bilson. He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Betty; daughter Amy; and wife Shyrl Linn.
