EL DORADO

CHASTAIN, WILLIAM "ALLEN", 51, passed away at his home February 17th, 2019 outside El Dorado, Ks. He was born September 5, 1967 in Wichita, Ks to Donald and Carolyn (Sisco) Chastain. He married Jewelee Jackson, August 18th, 1990 in El Dorado, Ks. Allen was a Jack of All Trades, he held many different jobs throughout his lifetime from manufacturing hospital bracelets for Century Plastics to oil field worker, house painter and wallpaper hanger, farmer/rancher, to his favorite occupation Electrical Lineman. He worked as a Journeyman lineman for The city of Augusta for several years before joining IEBW and working for PARR. He enjoyed line work and the brotherhood that came with it. Allen enjoyed traveling with his wife, loved the mountains, camping, and fishing. His health prevented him from doing a lot of things he loved but he still had many hobbies he enjoyed doing, scroll saw work, model building, and he still traveled on a limited basis. Allen was an avid music fan, he loved almost all music but his favorites were 80's Rock to more contemporary Heavy Metal.

A llen is survived by his wife Jewelee, his mother Carolyn, his two sisters Donna Cox of Augusta, Ks and Brenda Cooke of Prairie Grove, Ark.  He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Chastain and beloved pet Gerdy.

A memorial celebration will be held at 5:00 p.m., at the farm at 1462 N.W. 40th, El Dorado, on July 5, 2019; a day after Allen's favorite holiday.
