William Jack Cauble, 1945-2024
William Jack Cauble died on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the age of 79. He was born on June 2, 1945 at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington DC, where his father served as an Army surgeon during World War II. After the war, his parents, Daphyne Smith Cauble and Dr. Wilbur Griffin Cauble, moved the family to Wichita's College Hill neighborhood. Jack graduated from East High School in 1963, completed a business degree from Southwestern College in 1967, and earned an MS in Economics, Finance and Accounting from Fort Hays State University in 1968.
At the time of his death, Jack and his wife Linda Cash Cauble had been married for 57 years. They share four children and five grandchildren. They raised their children in Valley Center and Sedgwick. Since 1997, they have lived in El Dorado, where Jack served as a Business Manager for the Kansas Department of Corrections until his retirement nine years ago.
Jack is survived by his wife Linda of El Dorado, son David of El Dorado, and daughters Bethany Janssen of Wichita and Christy Davis of Cottonwood Falls, as well as five grandchildren. Daughter Dr. Ginger Senseman preceded him in death.
