ANDOVER

DUGGAN, WAYNE CLAIR, 92 , Postal Carrier, passed away on September 18, 2018. He was born at the family farm near Bronson, Kansas on January 14, 1926. He was the son of Walter and Esther Gibson Duggan. In September of 1944 he met the love of his life and on September 25, 1944 he married Daisy King of Humboldt, Kansas. they were happily married for 72 years until her death in 2017. They were the parents of four children, Linda Beck(Jim) of Rogers, Arkansas, Mary Evans(Tom) of Andover, Kansas, Wayne Clair Duggan, Jr. (Cindy) of Andover, Kansas and Verna Abercrombie(Mike) of Andover, Kansas. He is also survived by 38 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

C lair and Daisy moved to Andover in 1959 and resided there ever since. At various times he was a devoted member and volunteer for the Andover Fire Department, Ambulance crew, Butler County Sheriff's Department and other civic jobs. Clair retired in 1985 after serving as a Postal Carrier for 30 years. He and Daisy enjoyed RV'ing and traveled to nearly every state. Their number one priority, however, was always their family. When his beautiful bride of 72 years passed the light went out in his life and spent his remaining time preparing to meet her again in their heavenly home.

V isitation will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Prairie Hills Southern Baptist Church, 9959 SW Pampas Rd, Augusta, Kansas. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018 also at Prairie Hills Southern Baptist Church. Interment will be in Bruno Township Cemetery, Andover.
