WEHRY, TEDDY JOE, 57, long time Flinthills client and Honorary member of Elks Lodge 1407, passed away at his home on July 5, 2023. Joe was born on July 8, 1965 in El Dorado to Kenneth P. and Nellie M. {Thomas} Wehry. Joe attended school in Potwin until the 8th grade and in recent years was attending Butler Community College to earn his GED. From a young age fishing and hunting were his favorite hobbies . Disability never kept Joe down and he was very outgoing, never meeting a stranger. He loved everybody unconditionally; would give anybody anything he could and had a great memory, especially for people, because as his family said "he had a heart bigger than he was." He loved to dance and enjoyed his time participating in special olympic games through the Kansas Special Olympics and the "Fishing has no boundaries." program with Flinthills Services. Joe's accomplishments were many but one he was most proud of was being a member of Butler County CERT. And for anybody that knew Joe you absolutely knew his love for the Chiefs and never missed watching a game for his beloved team.

Joe is survived by his sister Beckie Dale of El Dorado; uncle Joe Thomas; aunt Myrtle Swan; niece Sarah Wehry; great nephews and nieces Tyler Dale, Tayla Dale, Dustin Wehry, Kenneth Michael Wehry, Jay Strasser and Matthew Wehry; great great nephews Corbin Dale and Xavier Dale. He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Nellie; brother Kenneth A. Wehry; niece Tawnya Dale; and nephews Terry Lee Wehry and Kenneth J. Wehry.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 430 Eunice, El Dorado from 11:00 a.m. until service time which will be at 1:00 p.m. also on Monday. Interment will follow in Burns, Kansas.
