M artinez, Susan Marlene, 78 passed away November 2, 2021 at her home. Susan was born in Kansas City, Missouri on December 4, 1942 to Charles and Jewell "Glenn" Carr. Charles passed away in World War II. When Susan was very Young, her mom married her stepfather, William James Swope, in 1947.

S he grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Northeast High School. Susan met Ron Danner in high school and they quickly became high school sweethearts. Later marrying and and having 3 children and later divorcing, Susan many years later had another child. After high school, Susan worked at Southwestern Bell, Geno's Restaurant, then 30 years in convenience stores as store manager.

O n February 13, 2014 Susan married Walter Martinez at the Church Today in Wichita, KS.

S usan enjoyed Crocheting, puzzles, crossword puzzles, arts and crafts, and playing card games. She was a caring, loving, and helpful woman but could be very stern as well, and loved time with her family, especially going to the casino with Kim. Win or lose, Susan would love to watch her Kansas City Chiefs and Royals.

S usan is survived by her husband Walter, children -  Kevin Danner, Bryan Danner (Mirasol), Kimberly Pope (Brad Wooster) and Jamie Moppin. Siblings - Tom Swope (Karen), and sister-in-law Sherrill Swope. Grandchildren - Ashley, Angela (Deangelo), Amber, Stefanie (David), Cody, Anechia, Trisha, Samuel, Chole, Kari (Chqarlie), Nathan, Alyssa, Jewell, Jacob, Jason, Jesse, Layla, and Joshua. Great grandchildren - Brayden, Austin Jr., ZarraahJ, Landyn, Dorian, Gracelynn, Cynthia, Noah, William, Zachary, Camaron, Elijah, Sereas, Annabel, Abe4l, Zander, Ryleigh, and many other family and friends.

S he was preceded in death by her parents William and Jewell Swope and brother William Swope.
