NUDO, STEPHANIE JEAN, 64, lived a life defined by compassion, determination, adventure, and fierce devotion to the people and animals she loved. At the age of 64, Stephanie passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind countless memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew her best.

Stephanie was born on December 20, 1961, in El Dorado to Franklin and Phyllis {Sullivan} Anderson. Raised with a strong work ethic and an independent spirit, Stephanie began working at the young age of 14 for Mr. Swiss, proving early on that she was never afraid of hard work. She attended and graduated from El Dorado High School before continuing her education at Wichita State University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree — an accomplishment she was proud to achieve through her own dedication and perseverance.

Throughout her life, Stephanie worked in many different roles, including with Kansas Legal Services, several customer service call centers, and RGIS Inventory. No matter the position, she brought with her a sharp wit, strong opinions, and a caring heart that people quickly came to appreciate. Stephanie had a way of making herself known wherever she went. She could be loud and outspoken, but beneath that bold personality was someone deeply loyal, protective, and endlessly compassionate toward those she loved.

Stephanie embraced life with passion and curiosity. Her interests were as colorful and unique as she was. She loved drawing, reading, and spending quiet hours putting puzzles together. She also had an adventurous side and greatly enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. One of the dreams she proudly fulfilled was learning to ride a motorcycle, eventually making the unforgettable trip to Sturgis Motorcycle Rally — an experience she cherished and spoke of often.

Among Stephanie's greatest joys were animals. She had an enormous heart for any stray or injured creature that crossed her path and rarely turned away an animal in need. Her beloved Chihuahua, Button, held an especially special place in her heart and brought her endless companionship and comfort through the years.

Stephanie also expressed herself through her ever-growing collection of tattoos, which she viewed not simply as art, but as meaningful pieces of her story and identity. She lived unapologetically as herself — strong, spirited, caring, and authentic in every way.

More than anything, Stephanie loved her family. She leaves behind her son, Dominick Nudo; her daughter, Mickenzi Evers and husband Nathaniel; her cherished grandchildren Ashley, Hailey, Calley, and Riley; her brother Paul Anderson and wife Lauri; her sister Teresa Brentlinger; four nieces and nephews; one great-nephew; and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Phyllis Anderson; her brother, Richard Anderson; her brother-in-law, Bill Brentlinger; and her beloved grandparents.

Stephanie's life was one of resilience, love, individuality, and fierce protection of those she cared about. Though her family's hearts ache in her absence, they find comfort in knowing her spirit lives on in every story shared, every laugh remembered, every rescued animal, and every mile of open road that calls to mind her adventurous soul.
