Stanley Lee Nixon was born on March 18, 1943 to Alva Leroy and Edith (Seymour) Nixon In El Dorado. He went to school in Leon and hauled hay while in high school. He soon met Helen at a diner at Broadway and Harry in Wichita. Stanley worked at Bauman Office Supply. They were married over 25 years. Later on, he worked at Hickory Hollow Ranch for a time.

S tanley enjoyed fishing and was happy, easy going, quiet, and good with kids.  He served in his church with Helen. Stanley also cared for his mother when needed.

S tanley leaves behind three children: Mike Branaman, Nancy Branaman, and Greg Branaman; two brothers David Nixon and Jim Nixon; two sisters, Kathy Wise and Nancy Sue Wonser, and 9 grandchildren: Makaila Welch-Branaman, Jaida Welch-Branaman, Paul Branaman, and Jeremy Guy;  and great grandchildren Ella Snow and Adelina Clopton.  He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Helen.

M emorial service will be held on Monday October 10, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at First Southern Baptist, 200 Oil Hill Rd., El Dorado with Pastor Terry Stephens officiating.
