Marshall, Stanley Lee, 64, El Dorado, KS, died on January 5, 2021 at his home with hospice care.,
S tanley was born on Aug. 23, 1956 in Wamego, KS to Laurence and Victoria Ann (Rezac) Marshall.
H e attended Emmett Grade School and then St. Marys High. He attended Vo-Tech in Topeka and later joined the Apprenticeship Program for Boilermakers out of local 83, and later worked as a boilermaker at Jeffrey Energy Center in St. Marys from 1978 to 1982. From 1982 to 2000, Stan worked as a boiler inspector for the State of Kansas and later American States Insurance Company. In 2000, he opened PrairieTech Computer Sales and Repair in El Dorado, where he was the sole proprietor until his illness in 2017.
S tan had a passion for flying airplanes and received his license to fly in 2005, and was a member of the El Dorado United Methodist Church.
H e married Doris "Dee" J. Freeby, who survives him, on July 17, 1976 at Immaculate Conception Church in St. Marys, KS. They have four children: Jessica (Justin Miller), of LaJunta, CO; Amy (Steve Dennis) of Wichita, KS; Rebecca (Kevin Koenke) of Colorado Springs, CO; and James (Brandi) Marshall. Survivors also include 12 grandchildren, his sister Pam Hays of Rossville, KS; and brother Larry Marshall of Emmett, KS.
A service is planned at the United Methodist Church and burial will take place at Saint Clere Cemetery, Emmett, KS, dates and times pending.
