SCHWEIN, RUBY ARLENE , 95, passed away on September 27, 2018 at Via Christi Village, Wichita. Ruby was born on August 27, 1923 in St. John, KS to Clyde and Mildred E. "Burch" Seitzinger. Her passion was her family, friends and especially her grandchildren.  She loved celebrating birthdays.  She enjoyed shopping, gardening, flowers and going out to eat with everyone.  She was also a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary and the VFW.

R uby's life was dedicated to family and caring for others.  She began in Great Bend as Superintendent of the Barton County Home for 16 years.  After moving to Andover, she worked in the cafeteria for the Andover School System. Ruby cared and was a nannie for a very dear Wichita family spanning over 25 years.  She dearly loved these extended families.

R uby is survived by her children Barbara Wells, Gary Schwein (Paula) and Pamela Hutson (Chuck); sisters Norma Jean Thackeray and Dorothy L. Bussart; grandchildren Eric (Connie), Stacey (Mike), Chad (Amy) and Chase (Ashley); great grandchildren Lauren Wehner and Chandler, Cannon and Aurora Gibson; granddogs (Bear, Candi, Tasha, Jett, Zoe, McKensie, and Max) and many other family and friends.

M emorial services will be held Saturday, October 27th at 1 P.M. at Via Christi Village at 3636 N Ridge Rd in Wichita.  Memorial donations may be made in Ruby's memory to Serenity Home Health and Hospice, 9415 E Harry St #301, Wichita, KS 67207 and Via Christi Village, 3636 N Ridge Rd, Wichita, KS 67205.
