Rose Marie Roberts-Hawk went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 in Wichita, KS at the age of 93. Rose Marie was preceded in death by parents Claude and Flossie Mullins of Ponca City, Oklahoma and sisters Loretta Wilhelm and Evelyn Neuburger, as well as deceased husbands, 2 sons and 2 grandchildren. Rose Marie was born in Davenport, Oklahoma. She graduated from Ponca City High School in 1946 and married Jimmie Lavon Struble who served in the Pacific Theater of WWII. They had four children Clifford, Stanley, Douglas and Robin. Stanley survives in Omaha, NE and Robin in Wichita, KS. Clifford and Douglas preceded their mother in death. Rose Marie was blessed with eight grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She lived the majority of her life in Hutchinson, Kansas and retired from J.C. Penney Co. where she worked as a sales clerk for many years. She was a devout Christian her entire life attending several churches and working a bus route for many years. She was a literate person and well-known local artist, specializing in oil paintings. She also liked to travel or just get in the car and go for a ride. Rose Marie was known to her friends as a kind, generous person of exceptional character and great sense of humor. As per her wishes, Rose Marie will be cremated and her ashes interred near her parents in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Because of Covid19, a celebration of her life is deferred until the spring of 2021.
