Ronald Lee Troyer , a man of remarkable wit, intelligence, and craftsmanship, left this world on December 3, 2023, at Lakepoint Nursing Home in El Dorado. Born on January 16, 1944, in Harper, Kansas, to Glenn E. and Aloah (Brenneke) Troyer, he was a beloved figure in the community and beyond.

Ron spent his formative years in Harper, attending Danville Schools and later graduating from Harper High School in the class of 1962. Following his graduation, he joined the Air Force Reserves, where he forged enduring bonds while stationed at Carswell AFB in Ft. Worth, Texas, alongside his brother Richard and sister-in-law Lucy.

A diligent and skilled worker, Ron dedicated most of his life to the aircraft industry. His prowess extended beyond the workplace, showcasing a versatility that included an innate talent for welding. His colleagues and friends will fondly remember him for his strong work ethic and the joy he found in sharing laughter with those around him.

Ron is survived by his loving son, Todd Troyer, and daughter, Caron Leonard. His siblings, Ed Troyer of Harper, Sondra Troyer of Winfield, and Denise (Troyer) Detwiler, mourn the loss of a cherished brother. He is also remembered by his two grandchildren, and half-brothers Dan Hill, Reverend Kevin Mackey, Matt Roach, and many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard, and half-brother Scott Cosgrove. Additionally, Ron's heartache was compounded by the loss of his significant other, Sharon Diffendahl.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Ronald Lee Troyer will be held at a later date, providing family and friends the opportunity to gather and share cherished memories of a life well-lived. In the wake of his passing, the legacy of Ron's laughter, intelligence, and craftsmanship will endure in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
