Ronald Joseph "Ron" Salome, Sr., 75 , Army Veteran, passed away on October 28, 2021 at Harry Hynes Hospice with his family at his side. Ron was born on November 5, 1945 in Hardtner, KS to Kayed and Sophia "Abraham" Salome. Attending the University of New Mexico he earned an Associate degree and worked in Aviation Manufacturing. He joined the Army on August 4, 1965 and was honorably discharged from the 101 ^st Airborne on March 20, 1973 after reaching SP5. Ron was a member of the American Legion and AmVets and a longtime member of St. Mary Orthodox Church in Wichita. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, watching football and listening to music but loved his family and spending time with them.

Ron is survived by his children Joey Salome(Tana) and Jacob(Tomi) Salome; siblings Mary Ann Laham, Ed Salome(Judy) and Sam Salome; grandchildren Zared and Sophia; many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Kayed and Sophia.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at St. Mary Orthodox Church, 344 S. Martinson, Wichita. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Orthodox Church.
