Ronald "Ron"
Lee Hamilton
November 7, 1963 — October 15, 2025
El Dorado
Ronald "Ron" "Ronnie" "Dad" "My Favorite" Lee Hamilton passed away peacefully in the arms of his Favorite at home on Wednesday October 15th, 2025.
Ron was born on November 7th, 1963 to Silver Marie Hankins and Cecil "Red" Hamilton. He was raised mostly in the Cowley County area attending schools in Arkansas City and Winfield. He also spent part of his life in Jay Oklahoma with his Mom Marie and Dad Amos Mead and 8 siblings.
Ron worked for several companies, including Rubbermaid in Winfield, as a truck driver for JB Hunt. A diesel mechanic for M.Bruenger Trucking and Air Capital Trucking. He spent the last nine years working for Valmont Industries in El Dorado Kansas. Ron was a very hard worker, rarely missing a day of work until the last year, when he got to the point he couldn't work because of his health.
The last year was spent catching up on the entire series of Gunsmoke and the Rifleman and visiting with his good friends Mike & Shelley M. and Dee & Zack B. He wanted me to tell you thank you for the Coffee, Cigarettes and Food. But most importantly, his time was spent spending as much time with his Favorite, his wife Sunita. Ronnie and I met in May of 1992, dating off and on for a while. We both went our separate ways for a while, but God had a plan for us. We met back up in December of 2001 and got back together in March of 2002 creating an instant family with me and Shanteil. In 2004, our family was complete when our daughter Keylee Jo was born. Our family was everything Ronnie wanted and needed. He always had the best interest of our entire family in mind and at heart. He was the rational to my impulse.
Ron was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Silver and Carl Hankins. His Mom Marie Hankins, Dad Amos Mead and Papa Ron, Sister Carla Hamilton and Brother Roger Mead. Ronnie is survived by his Wife Sunita, Daughters Shanteil Bohrer and Keylee Hamilton. Sisters, Sheri Wilson, Amy Mattocks (Keith), Christina Kester (Dan), Andrea Holt, Sara Yingling (David Butler) and Brother Chad Mead. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
I would like to Thank Everyone for all of the kind words, love, prayers and support over the last year. A special Thank You to his Medical Provider Virginia Hoefgen and staff with Dr. Harder's office in Augusta, you were all amazing and helped him more than you will ever know.
A private service for friends and family will be held at a later date.
