HAGEMEISTER, ROGER GLEN, 93 , Army Veteran, passed away on December 17, 2021 at his farm near Callaway with his loving wife by his side. Roger was born in Inland, NE on July 9, 1928 to William F. and Martha H. {Kloke} Hagemeister. Roger was raised on the Hagemeister homestead near Inland and graduated from Inland High School or as he puts it was kicked out with honors. Joining the service on March 20, 1951 Roger was discharged on April 4, 1957 as a Corporal after which he started working on a ranch in Colorado where he met Elizabeth Ann and it was love at first sight. Roger would often make excuses to go spend time with Elizabeth and they were married on November 8, 1953 in Ft. Morgan, CO. Shortly after they were married they left the homestead near Inland and moved to a farm by Callaway to make their own life. Roger would often say that he loved farming and he was a rancher as well. Fishing brought much enjoyment for Roger, especially going on the Canadian fishing trip with his bestfriend or son, Kirby. He was often playing softball or Go Kart racing with the boys and loved animals; having all kinds on the farm including baby deer and raccoon. Keeping with his love of animals if you ever saw Roger in town in his truck everyone knew to beware the big German Shepherd that might bite you. Baseball on the tractor radio was a highlight for Roger and though he loved the Royals if he could find a game on the radio he would just keep working away. His greatest love was his family; be his children and spending time with them or his wonderful wife that he enjoyed being with.

Roger is survived by the love of his life Elizabeth Ann; his children Corey Hagemeister(Sherry), Kirby Hagemeister(Lisa) and Shannon Peterson(Kevin); two grandchildren Brittney Peterson and Jared Peterson and many other family, friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Martha; his brother Donald and sister Olga.
