BUSHNELL, ROBERT DEWAYNE , 91, passed away at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita. Robert was born on May 8, 1930 in Ottawa, Kansas to Henry C. and Lula F. Bushnell. As a mechanic that truly enjoyed turning wrenches and working on engines Robert owned a small gas station/auto repair shop in Wichita and even his own trucking service running a dump truck. He really had a true knack and knowledge for working on motors. Robert married Nellie Brown and they made their home in Andover where Robert was a school bus mechanic for the Andover School System. Later in life Robert took up woodworking and would make bird houses and squirrel feeders which he even sold a few of.

Robert is survived by sons Todd and Shawn Bushnell; sister Wanda Sill; grandchildren Brent, Jennifer and Joshua and numerous great grandchildren. Preceding Robert in death was his wife Nellie; children Troy and Sharon; parents Henry and Lula and his sister Barbara Copeland.

Arrangements are being made to hold a memorial service for Robert and Nellie.
