Rose, Richard Lee, 76 , passed away at his residence in Rose Hill, KS on May 19, 2022.

Richard was born to Lloyd Russell and Charlotte Ruth (Howard) Rose in East Liverpool on February 15, 1946.  Richard was close to and raised by James and Charlotte Cordone, his mother, in California and graduated high school in 1964.

He met Carolyn Sanders and they were married in 1967 and had two children, Douglas Lee Rose in 1971 and Leeann Darlene (Rose) Lacayo in 1975, both born in Carmichael, CA.

They went on to live in several different cities in California.

Richard later met Mary Frances Rose in Rancho Cordova, CA.  They were married in Reno, NV in 1979.  They moved to Lake Tahoe where he helped Mary raise her three children, Shelley, Ted and Jack.  Richard worked as a tow truck driver and together they owned and ran a coin shop.  Richard and Mary lived in several different states including Oregon, Tennessee and California.  They settled in Oroville, California before relocating to be with family in Derby, KS and then Rose Hill, KS.

Richard worked at different auto parts stores in his life where he would memorize the parts and the parts numbers.  He had a passion for trains, coins, history and ancestry.  Richard was very knowledgeable in many areas and knew lots of trivia facts.

Richard is survived by children Leeann Lacayo, Shelley Hepner, Theodor Besen and Jack Besen, Jr. (Deanne); grandchildren Donovan Rose, Corbin Rose, Garrett Schenk, Zane Schnee, Megan Clifton, Ryan Clifton, Michael Concha, James Besen, Lance Besen, Natasia Timme, Magen Besen and Sabrina Besen, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews as well as other family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jim, his son, Doug and his wife, Mary.
