R ichard (Rick) Allan Davis, 64, of Augusta, Ks fought hard, but lost his battle with cancer at home, surrounded by his family, Sunday, June 28, 2020.

T here will be no service but there will be a celebration of his life at a later date.

R ick was born on August 12, 1955 in Wichita, Kansas to Dale W. Davis and Ruby A. (Kidd) Davis. He graduated from Augusta High School in 1974.

H e loved spending time with his family and friends. He worked for the City of Augusta power plant, and later transferred to the electrical Dept.and was an electrical journeyman lineman. He retired from the City in August of 2013. After his retirement he started his own buisness with his son Derrick, and grandsons, Caden, and Derrick Jr., his business was called, Davis and Son Tree Service. He volunteered his business to help after Douglass and Eureka had tornadoes.

H e loved his farm, he even named all of his cows, loved classic cars "especially his 57' Chevy", playing movies on his out door movie screen with family and grandchildren. He was always playing his pinball machine and jukebox with his grandchildren. He loved his grandchildren so much, he even made them a little (park) to play in.  He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his wife, sons and friends. Rick never knew a stranger and loved to help people in need.

H e is survived by his wife; Terry L. of 42 years; Sons, Dale (Diane), Derrick (Carey), Kyle (Amber); Grandchildren; Rebecca, Brooklynne, Derrick Jr., Caden, Lillianna, Jailey, Briggs, Emery, Eleanora; Great Grandchildren; Destiny Davis and Beau Timms; Brother; Ronald (Brenda) Davis, Sister; Ruby Jane (El) Ngugi, Sister-in-law, Schlene Davis,  and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

H e was proceeded in death by: Father; Dale A. Davis, Mother; Ruby A. Davis, Brothers; Marvin D., Victor A. Davis, Granddaughter; Kailynn Renee Davis.
