Pike, Richard Earl, 59 , passed away June 5, 2020, in Wichita, Kansas.

B orn to Valance Pike Jr. and Alice Jean Robertson on December 20, 1960 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He grew up with two sisters- Kathy Thomas and Kelly Kinder. In 1979, he joined the Air Force, where he stayed for 3 years before discharge in 1982. After that, he move to Wichita, Kansas.

His move to Wichita is where he found his true love, Carla Pike. Meeting her at a bowling alley in what seemed like a once-in-a-lifetime event, and ended up spending the next 35 years together, having a daughter, Shawna.

R ich continued bowling for over 20 years, but had a second love, darts. He would compete in tournaments, and eventually arranged tournaments himself, being a part of the Wichita Dart Association. He acted as President of WDA for 6 years, and held other board positions.

H e was a man who kept himself busy. When he wasn't watching the Dallas Cowboys, or throwing darts, he was watching the Cooking Channel, looking for the next recipe to make. He always found time for family though.

H e is preceded in death by his mother, Alice Jean Pike. He is survived by loving wife, Carla Pike.; daughter, Shawna Pike- Miller (Eric) of Kansas.; Sisters, Kathy Thomas (Tim) of Arkansas, Kelly Kinder (Doug) of Kansas.; father, Valance Pike (Evelyn) of Arizona; and grandchildren Makenzie Miller, Mason Miller, and Maxxon Miller; and nephews, Jamie Kinder, Dustin Kinder, Taylor Kinder; and many other loving family members.
