KECK, RICHARD LEE "DICK", 86, Army veteran and lifelong philanthropist, passed away on December 12, 2020 at Victoria Falls Assisted Living in Andover. Dick was born in Wichita, KS to Albert Lee and Ozella Mae "Jackson" Keck on September 29, 1934. Dick married Rogean Emma Vogt on March 27, 1954 in Harvey County. He served in the Army during Korea and was a crewchief on H-13 and H-34 Helicopters; he prided himself on only crashing once and no one getting hurt. He always said that you could put pretty good odds on a helicopter to only crash once. After returning from Korea Dick worked at McConnell Air Force Base as a diesel mechanic. Dick's passion was philanthropy. He spent 29 years on the Envision Board; was the president for ARC of Sedgwick County and served on the board there for many years as well.

D ick is survived by his nephews Jim, Scott and Gary Fulkerson; niece Sherri Craig; many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Rogean and son Brian Fulkerson Keck.

V isitation will be Sunday, December 20 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 502 W. Central Ave., Andover. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2020 at Benton Cemetery with military honors provided by The Kansas National Guard Funeral Honor Team.
