Richard "Dino"
Dean Folden, Jr.
July 22, 1966 — April 2, 2022
El Dorado
RICHARD DEAN FOLDEN, JR. "DINO", passed away on April 2, 2022 at Via Christi St. Francis. Dino was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 22, 1966 to Richard Folden, Sr. and Velma Folden. Dino was raised in Cincinnati. He spent his life as a amusement park ride operator and then as an Over The Road Truck Driver. Ronni Patton met Dino at a fair in 1989-90ish and they fell in love and were married in 1992 in Clymer Park in Gulfport, Florida. In 2005 Dino and Ronni knew somebody that had land in Kansas they wanted to sell and so Dino and Ronni purchased the land and moved to Ft. Scott. Dino found his second family when he joined the Avispon MC in late 2017; retiring from the club in 2020 due to health issues. He loved riding his motorcycles and enjoyed fishing, Alabama football(Roll Tide) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He enjoyed comicbook characters and the movies they spawned. Dino joined Generations Church after attending there for a few years. He was kind and outgoing with a great sense of humor and was a self proclaimed "Encyclopedia of Useless Information". Dino would always tell you what he thought if you were to ask him his opinion. Doing anything outside was always at the top of Dino's list of things to do and he loved cooking and grilling for his family; especially his steaks that he had perfected. He spent lots of time testing his newfound recipes on his family which were his greatest loves. Spending time with them was his greatest accomplishment; especially his grandchildren; and he was most of them's first superhero.
Dino is survived by his wife Ronni Renee Folden; father Richard Folden, Sr. and wife Carolyn Folden; children Jessica Vanderloop, Sharone Turner and Phillip Turner; siblings Brian Folden, Rhonda Folden, Taliba Uhuru, Krisha Baker(Jerome) and Leanna Lee(Steven); grandchildren Danica Vanderloop, Tedrin Turner and mom Ashley Bassett, Phillip Turner II and mom Latisha Finley, and Jacqueline Turner; dogs Chopper and Curi; grandcat Yammy and many other family and friends.
Services will be held at Generations Church, 425 Greenvalley Dr., Andover on May 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
