Richard Vincent Brian, Jr., 74 , passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024, surrounded by love in the comfort of his home at Rainbow Care Homes in Wichita, Kansas. Born on May 12, 1950, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Richard Vincent, Sr., and Martha Jesse (Cochran) Brian, Richard lived a life defined by resilience, generosity, and a deep love for people.

Richard's early years were marked by determination and faith. In elementary school Richard served as an altar boy. As a teenager he delivered newspapers and volunteered as a candy striper, developing a strong work ethic allowing him to pay his way through high school at St Xavier Catholic School. He went on to work in restaurants and customer service, eventually advancing him into management roles. His drive and tenacity were evident in every step he took.

Richard welcomed his first of 4 children in 1970. Despite the challenges he faced, he never wavered in his love and dedication to his family.

Richard moved to Wichita in December 2016. He loved cooking, fishing, and storytelling. A true "people person," Richard had an uncanny ability to connect with those around him.

His legacy is carried on by his children, Darich Brian, Ben Brian, Donya and her spouse Bradley Goman , and Dori and her spouse Paul Corona ; His brothers, Chris Brian and Wade "Tony" Brian ; His sisters, Marta Pebbles and Lisa Bibb; his grandchildren, Tiffany, James, and Gage; and his 3 great-grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, his ex-wife Annette Borders, and his nephew Jacob Bibb. Though he has left this earthly life, his memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration for all who had the privilege of knowing him.
As we say goodbye to Richard, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering resilience. May he find peace in eternal rest, and may his family and friends find solace in the cherished memories he leaves behind.
