FOWLER, RAMONA A., 85, of El Dorado passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born December 28, 1939, in Damar, Kansas to Joseph George Favreau and Sadie Hannah Loretta Kerr. She was the 4th of 13 children from this marriage. Ramona married Levi Francis Brault in 1957 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Derby, Kansas and to this union were born Daniel Joseph, Richard Lynn, Christopher Lee, Rachelle Ann and Rhonda Kay. They divorced in 1972. In 1981, Ramona married Frank A. Fowler III.
Despite becoming a single mother, she found time to serve her church, children and community. She was a devote member of St. John the Evangelist's Catholic Church in El Dorado, Kansas since 1966 where she volunteered in numerous ministries including wedding committee, Altar Society for 54 years, Rosary makers for 25 years and Sewing Group for 22 years. The sewing group provided much needed items to the VA Hospital and the Lord's Diner in Wichita, Birthline and Butler County Homeless in El Dorado. The rosaries have been provided to schools, churches and hospitals throughout the country and even so far as Europe, Asia and Africa.
Ramona was preceded in death by her husband Frank A. Fowler; her parents Joseph and Sadie; brother LaVerne; sisters Mary Jean Reisman of Wichita, Rose Morin of Manhattan; and daughter-in-law Janet Brault of Platte City, Missouri.
She is survived by her children Daniel of Independence, Kansas, Richard of Platte City, Missouri, Christopher(Rita) of West Des Moines, Iowa, Rachelle of Ames, Iowa and Rhonda Moore(Dewayne) of Grove, Oklahoma; siblings James Favreau of Chino, California, Karen Jones(Jerry) of Rose Hill, Kansas, John Favreau of Waverly, Kansas, Stanley Favreau of Bull Head City, Arizona, Girard Favreau(Debbie) of Viola, Kansas, Betty Thomison(Kenny) of Rose Hill, Kansas, Bill Favreau(Adele) of Benton, Kansas, Connie Christensen of Washington and Mark Favreau of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren Jason Brault, Jennifer Lindholm, Rachel Klosak, Ryan Brault, Matthew Brault, Marc Brault, Aaron Brault, Falycia Davis, Brandon Harney, Christopher Harney, Hayleigh Kemp, Kelsey Wood and Kaylee Watson; 13 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.
Visitation is scheduled on Sunday, November 23 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 206 E. Central Ave., El Dorado with a rosary to be held at 6:00 p.m. Parking is available on the North side of the building by the big tree.
A Memorial Mass followed by inurnment will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist's Catholic Church.
