Jackson, Phyllis Rose, 91 , passed to her heavenly home at the Catholic Care Center. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 23, at 10 a.m. at Walnut Valley Memorial Park, 725 Boyer Road, El Dorado, Kansas.

P hyllis was born on April 5, 1929, to Weedon and Vivian (Davis) Brewer, and grew up on the family farm around Bloomington, Kansas. She graduated from Leon High School and was employed by Bell Telephone in Wichita. She was married to James C. Jackson for 59 years, and they had three children. Phyllis was a homemaker and loved her family more than anything in the world. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening and she enjoyed serving with the American Legion Auxiliary. Phyllis attended the First Christian Church in El Dorado for years was a sports fan and followed the Jayhawks.
P hyllis is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kimberley Renee Rader; her husband, Jim; and her sister, Bernice Worrell. She is survived by her children: Carol Jackson, Dallas; Freida Jackson, Oxford, Kansas; James C. Jackson, Jr. (Heather), Lawton, Oklahoma. Her surviving grandchildren include: Brook Rader (Martha), Zach Wilson (Denise), Jimmy Jackson (Kalie), Louis Jackson, and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Shirley (Larry) Jones and Francie (John) McBeth, as well as many nieces and nephews.
I n lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of El Dorado and the Alzheimer's Association of Wichita.
