Norman Allen
Mosier
January 6, 1941 — May 10, 2022
Towanda
Norman Allen Mosier, 81 , of Towanda, KS, went to be with the Lord on May 10th, 2022. Norman had a scheduled biopsy appointment on that day, but because he was just too weak, the biopsy never took place. They transferred him to the ER where his oxygen levels continued dropping, and he took his last breath here on earth at 4:02 pm.
Norman was born on January 6th, 1941 to Harry D. Mosier & Ruth (Farni) Mosier in Towanda, KS. After Norman graduated from Towanda High School in 1959, he went on to serve in the U.S. Army in France.
While there, Norman met and married Marie H. Pajor on April 28th, 1962. Norman and Marie celebrated their 60th anniversary two weeks prior to Norman's passing. He then moved back to the States and worked at Beech Aircraft for nearly 7 years. He then answered God's call to ministry and attended Arizona Bible College and then went on to complete his degree in Pastoral Studies in KC, Missouri at Calvary Bible College in 1974.
He then pastored at New Testament Baptist Church in Paola, KS and later became a missionary in Northampton, England for 5 years. He returned to the U.S. where he then pastored at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Kansas City, KS. Norman and his family moved back to Towanda, KS where he pastored at Fairview Baptist Church for 6 years. The Lord then led him to Calvary Baptist Church in Derby, KS where he was Staff Evangelist for 15 years. Norman then retired and became a part-time pastor at Freedom Bible Fellowship in Benton, KS.
He is survived by his wife, Marie (Pajor) Mosier, his daughter, Cindy Walthers (Louis), his son, Sheldon Mosier (Shawna), and daughter, Jody Mosier. His grandchildren; Michelle Loss (Caleb), Michael Walthers (Kristen), Melissa Meeks (Kale), Megan Whitener (Zach), Mark Walthers (Amber), Carson Mosier, and Caris Mosier, as well as 11 great-grandchildren.
Along with attending and supporting his grandchildren in various school and sporting events, he also loved to fish, golf, and shoot sporting clays. He also loved to cheer on the Royals, Chiefs, and KU basketball.
Norman found great joy in leading many souls to Christ. He was a true "fisher of men" and will be remembered by those who knew him best as a man truly committed to the gospel of repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. He leaves a rich legacy of faithfulness, not only to his family, but also to those to whom he ministered. To God be the glory!
