Michelle Dianne Ball, 70, of Andover, KS passed away unexpectedly in her home on December 25, 2022. She was an Army brat who lived in several states and countries including: Hawaii, Germany, and Japan. She graduated from Junction City High School in 1970, later attending Patricia Steven's Fashion Merchandising College. She worked at Montgomery Wards before working as a nurse assistant, then as a unit clerk on the Pediatric Unit at Wesley Medical Center. Michelle was an active member at Central Christian Church where she met her ex-husband, Randy, who together had four beautiful daughters of whom she was very proud. She worked as a homemaker and child care provider before working for Intermac as an engraving specialist until she retired in 2021. Michelle enjoyed spending time with her family, attending grandchildren's activities, traveling, sewing, and watching KU basketball games. Her calming, patient, and thoughtful demeanor was felt by those who were blessed to have known her. She had a strong faith in Jesus and enjoyed worshiping the Lord. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, always putting her family first.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Long, mother, Dorothy (Menning) Long, and sister, Sharon Huffman.

Michelle is survived by her four daughters: Kristen (Kevin) Farmer of Fuquay Varina, NC, Kara (Heath) Kice of Lenexa, Jamie Ball of El Dorado, and Laura Ball of Wichita. She is also survived by grandchildren: Carter, Rylee, Rori, Brendan, William, Liam, Alex, Harper, and Kai; siblings: Kathy (Frank) Mick of Derby, Jeff Long of Wichita, and Jon (Phyllis) Long; four great aunts and a great uncle, as well as, many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Michelle will be held in her honor on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 10:30am at Faith Baptist Church in Andover, KS. Donations may be made in Michelle's honor to the Alzheimer's Association or consider donating blood to the American Red Cross.
