Michael A. Green (Mike), 62, was born in Kansas City Kansas, on February 12, 1962, to Katherine Davis and Willie Long.  Michael spent his childhood immersed in Greek Mythology, Star Trek, and was an avid comic book collector. He was an ideal student showing maturity beyond his years. As a young boy he spent hours at the library when he wasn't exploring the neighborhood with childhood friends.  He worked, played football, and maintained a stellar academic record. Michael graduated from Wyandotte High School where he was an ROTC cadet.

Michael received an Associate of Science with an emphasis in Biology and Chemistry degree from K.C.K Community College. Michael then earned a Bachelor of Science Engineering Technology Major Plastics Engineering Technology Minor Chemistry from Pittsburg State University. Michael worked while in college as well while also acting as a resident assistant.
Michael was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Inc.  He formed college friendships that lasted his lifetime. Michael worked various jobs Following graduation including General Motors and managing various fast food restaurants.  Michael eventually landed a job at Boeing as a Plastics Engineer.  This was a job he loved where his skills could be best utilized. Michael received many accolades and certificates of achievement for outstanding performance.  He was respected by his peers and management.

Michael was a man of many words. He love to have meaningful conversations and share his wisdom.  Though he never married he had long term relationships in which he took on the role of father and role model.  His strong friendships were as important to him as his family.  Michael's compassion, generosity and pure intentions ensured he was loved and admired by anyone he met.  Michael was an integral part of his family and could be relied upon to step in when he was asked for support.  He adored his sisters, spoiled his many nieces and nephews and often developed bonds with children he tutored or mentored.

Michael had a steadfast love of God. He read his Bible front to back twice and his worn Bible is proof of his constant reliance upon the Word.  Michael volunteered at his church and tithed regularly.  His unwavering belief in God's mercy and blessings sustained him throughout his health trials.  Michael passed peacefully on November 8th with his sister and nephew at his side. He leaves behind heartbroken friends and family.

Matthew 25:23 "Well done, good and faithful servant! I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!"

Michael leaves to mourn his passing Sisters Cheryl Green of Duluth, GA, Karen Powell and Tanya Johnson both of Kansas City Kansas and Vickie Bell of Nashville TN.  He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
