BARTLING, MICHAEL BRUCE, 74 passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at The Catholic Care Center in Wichita. He was born the only child of Frederick John and Virginia (Johnson) Bartling on June 6, 1947 in Nebraska. As a kid the family moved to Wichita and Michael attended and graduated from Wichita North High. He played football the last few years of school and really enjoyed it wishing he would've played it longer. Michael was a mail carrier and then mail handler for the USPS totaling over 35 years of service with them. As a true outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping as well as watching sports and bowling in his league. He could be known as a jokester that liked to be a little ornery and a socialite that never knew a stranger. When Michael became a father and then a grandfather he loved every minute with his family; whether it was coaching baseball for Devon or just always being there at activities and being supportive. He was a super caring grandpa and always wanted to have fun with his grandkids.

M ichael is survived by his children Christy Calvert, Lee Calvert(Rebecca), Andrea Humig(Josh), Adam Bartling and Devon Bartling(Caressa); his grandchildren Alicia, Cara Hefton(Levi), Elli, Robert, Jeduthun, Jada, Justus, Adley, Tristan, Cecily, Aiden, Jace and Tessa; great grandchildren Annilynn, Autumn, Aliviyah, Oakley and Dawson; firend and mother of his children Rita Nessler and many other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 206 E. Central Ave., El Dorado, Kansas.
