Gomez, Matilde "Tillie", 98, passed away in El Dorado, KS.

T illie was born to Marta Nunez Hernandez and Teodoro Gomez on Mar 14, 1922 in Florence, Kansas. She had a passion for sewing which she turned into a career. She worked as a seamstress at various local shops and at Henry's in Wichita. She also loved to read, and could always be found with a book in her hand.

S he is survived by granddaughter Emily (Cole), grandson Jonathan (Rachel), great granddaughter Kaitlynn, great grandsons Rionn and Jet, brothers Pete Gomez and Ruben Gomez.

T illie is preceded in death by her son, Raul Theodore Chavera, sisters Belen and Sava, and brothers Raul, Samuel, Raymond, Pilar, Magdaleno, and Emidio.

H onorary casketbearers are Sam Gomez Jr., Michael Gomez, Raymond Gomez Jr., Emidio Gomez Jr., Frank Gomez and Ralph Gomez.

A Graveside service will be held at Sunset Lawns Cemetery at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 27, 2020.
