Roth, Mary Irene, 96, passed away May 12, 2019 in Wichita. Memorial Services will be held Friday, May 17th, at 10:30 AM at the Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church, 5701 E. Mt. Vernon, Wichita.

M ary was born to Robert and Margaret Ellen (Miller) Hammond in Hiawatha, Kansas. Mary was an independent woman and got her pilot's license during World War II.  She raised 3 kids -  Susan Marie, Billy Frank, and Kathleen Ann – by herself, and worked for the State of Kansas as a computer programmer, as well as a lab technician and supervisor. After retiring, Mary became active in the Andover Senior Center.

M ary is survived by her 3 children, 1 brother and 1 sister, 6 grandchildren,  8 great grandchildren, and many family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents,  2 brothers and one sister.
