DIR, MARY VIVIAN, 72, retired Boeing employee, passed away on December 19, 2017 at the Eureka Nursing Center. Mary was born on April 23, 1945 in Eureka to Jack and Hazel (Schear) Newby. She was married to Don Dir in Eureka on July 16, 1976. Mary loved reading and cooking and was a member of Jefferson Street Baptist Church, Eureka.

M ary is survived by her husband Don; children Kevin Sears(Terry), Jonathan and Mike Sears; brother Bill Newby(Rosemary); several grandchildren and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Hazel and a brother Jack Newby, Jr.

M emorial service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Street Baptist Church, 300 S. Jefferson St., Eureka, KS 67045 with Pastor John Craighead presiding.

M emorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the family to assist with Mary's final expenses.
