DAVEY, MARY ANN, 81, Bus Driver, passed away on May 11, 2023 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital. Mary was born on March 22, 1942 in Beloit, Kansas to Kenneth and Helen {Williss} Carter. Kenneth and Helen moved to Smith Center where Mary attended school and graduated from Smith Center High School. Following high school Mary met Verner Ingle and they were married December of 1962. Mom was the next title given to Mary as she had Shanell Russell, Sherita Ellis and Sheann Moore. Mary drove buses for the school district and enjoyed driving the children and being a part of their life. Later in life Mary met and Gary Davey and they were wed in 1990 until he passed away. Mary loved her church and was very active there when she could be. Sewing clothes and blankets for family and friends was a favorite pastime but gardening was her passion and she always  had a beautifully landscaped garden.

Mary is survived by her daughters Shanell Russell(Kevin), Sherita Ellis and Sheann Moore(Jon); sisters Marvel, Amy, Nancy and Jeannie; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and her beloved dog Tedd E Bear or "Teddy". She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Helen; husbands Verner Ingle and Gary Davey and brother Roger.
