Marjorie Lou Webb, 86, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, departed this world on October 5, 2023, peacefully in her home in Douglass, Kansas.

Marjorie, the daughter Jim and Maud Province of Sterling, Colorado, entered this world on March 14, 1937, and her journey through life was marked by a genuine love for family, nature, and adventure. She grew up in the scenic beauty of Mountain Home, Arkansas, a place that left an indelible mark on her heart. Later, she moved to Wichita, Kansas, where she completed her high school education and set the stage for a lifetime of wonderful experiences.

During her working years, Marjorie dedicated 19 years of her life to Binney and Smith Crayon Plant, where she found both fulfillment and camaraderie. Yet, her most cherished partnership was the one she shared with Eugene Webb. Marjorie and Eugene were married for over 61 remarkable years, building a life together that was nothing short of extraordinary.

Marjorie was a woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had an undying affection for the great outdoors, where she spent countless hours tending to her garden and basking in the beauty of nature. Eugene lovingly crafted a screened-in porch for her, where she could enjoy her surroundings in comfort and peace.

Her love extended to her furry and feathered friends. Polly the parrot, Babe the St. Bernard, and Chloe the Yorkie were more than pets; they were cherished companions who shared in Marjorie's love for life.

Marjorie possessed a wonderful personality that radiated warmth and joy. Her zest for life was evident in her constant pursuit of adventure, whether it was embarking on road trips or traveling with Eugene to various destinations, including Oklahoma, parts of Texas, and even the vibrant streets of Louisiana during Mardi Gras.

Marjorie is survived by her husband Eugene; children David Holmes, Bobby Holmes, Galen Holmes, David Webb, Danny Webb, Sheryl Webb Holingsworth and Jim Webb; 32 grandchildren and many other family and friends.

To celebrate Marjorie's life and legacy, a funeral service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Douglass United Methodist Church, with Pastor Janet Sutter presiding. As we gather to remember Marjorie Lou Webb, we honor the life of a remarkable woman whose love, laughter, and spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Marjorie's memory. May her light shine on in the hearts of those she touched, and may her memory bring comfort to those who loved her.
