Fanning, Margaret Janette, 96, passed away October 24, 2022 at her residence in El Dorado.

M argaret Janette Fanning was beyond incredible. As a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, she will be missed by many.

J ames and Margaret Fanning lived on a ranch southwest of El Dorado, Kansas for thirty years. It was hard work raising cattle, but they had each other. She loved the ranch, her family, and her friends. She was blessed with more courage and understanding than most. She never turned someone away if they needed help, because she had some difficult times herself. I could write page after page about who she was and all the things she accomplished. Most of all, she was my mother, my best friend, and my greatest loss. She was one of a kind: a true champion, a beautiful woman with a beautiful spirit; Never forgotten, always remembered. My sweetheart.
