Brooks, Margaret Ann, 83 , passed away in Overland Park, KS on December 22, 2022.

M argaret Ann "Marge" Brooks was born to Forest and Margaret (Noakes) Mitchell in Eureka, KS on June 20, 1939. She attended Severy and Eureka schools and helped and waitressed at the Little Castle Cafe, owned by her mom and dad. Later on, she went to work as an electrician for Boeing, where she worked for many years. After retirement, She hostessed at several restaurants in El Dorado, including Double D's, Edge of Town, and Shelby's. She also went to nail school, and worked at a beauty shop, and loved dancing at the Senior Center where she was in charge of senior dances. Marge played piano, organ, and took classes in acrylics. Her appearance was important to her and she  always looked cute and had her face made up, etc. - even to go to the doctor. Marge was a very strong, fiercely independent woman, but was also sassy, fun-loving, and and enjoyed back-and-forth banter with her family and friends.

M arge leaves behind 4 sons, Mark Meier, Billy Meier, Bobby Hill, and Jimmy Meier; one daughter Rene Farrington; 2 grandchildren Shawna and Casandra; 4 great grandchildren Charlie, Alexia, Danny, and Lilyanna; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, "Squeak" Brooks, her parents, and 4 deceased siblings, Wayne Mitchell, Gaylen Mitchell, Treva Foster, and Gerald Mitchell.
