M ac Carr Masterson went home to see his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday April 21 st in Wichita, Kansas. He spent the first 79 years of his eternal life, living primarily in the El Dorado, Kansas area. Mac was born on March 26 th 1941 to Harold and Audrey Masterson in LaPorte, Indiana. He graduated from East High School in Wichita, Kansas in 1959. Mac went on to get Bachelor Degrees from Friends University in Sociology and Theology and served as a Staff Sargent in the Air National Guard until May of 1969. After college he went to work at Beech Aircraft, where he met his future bride, Fonda Mae Shepherd. While at Beech, he worked on many company sponsored training courses. Mac received his airframe and power plant mechanics license and also became a company pilot. He continued working at Beech as a Program Manager and Corporate Pilot for the next 38 years, until retirement.
M ac and Fonda were united in marriage on December 18 th 1965 in Wichita. He is survived by his wife Fonda, four sons and their wives. Jeff and Shannon Masterson, Ty and Marlo Masterson, Aaron Masterson and Dan and Marie Masterson. Mac had sixteen grandchildren, Taylor Cooper (Logan Cooper), Kaely Masterson, Mendy Wiginton (Patrick Wiginton), Rowdy Masterson, JJ Masterson, Coy Masterson, TJ Masterson (Hannah Masterson), Jake Masterson, Rachel Masterson, Abby Masterson, Levi Masterson, Marshal Masterson, Anna Masterson, Carl Masterson, Rylee Masterson and Kenzy Masterson. Mac had three great grandchildren. Klara Masterson, Carter Wiginton and Jolie Cooper. Mac is also survived by his brothers and sisters in-law, along with many nieces and nephews.
A fter retiring from Beech, Mac was able to spend more time outdoors, pursuing his favorite activities like gardening, working on the farm, ranching, driving his dump truck and telling everyone he met about his personal relationship with Jesus. Mac and Fonda were active members of First Baptist Church in El Dorado for many years. His family will miss him for now, but look forward to the day when they will all be together with him in Heaven forever.
