PARSONS, LORI LEE, 46 , passed away on October 16, 2021 at Wesley Woodlawn Hospital in Wichita. Lori was born on February 25, 1975 to Jimmie and Tiena (Haines) Parsons in Olympia, Washington.
At an early age the family was in Wichita for Jimmie's work and moved to Andover in 1982. Lori was a Girl Scout from a very young age. She attended school in Andover all through high school; becoming the first female to wrestle for the school; and had planned to attend Butler Community College for nursing. Like all young adults Lori loved hanging out with her friends, dancing at dances and making jewelry and was well known as the protector for her sisters, family and friends. She especially going to her grandparents in Mt. Hope and riding horses. Family get togethers with her parents, siblings and cousins were some of her favorite times. Lori worked at Dairy Queen and Pizza Hut and was a member at Faith Baptist Church being very active in the church activities. In 1993 Lori was with her sister Megan, friend Crystal and daughter Candi on their way to get their hair done for a school dance and was involved in a car accident that significantly changed her life.
Lori is survived by her daughter Candi; parents Jimmie and Tiena; sister Stacy Parsons; grandmother Betty Haines; nephews David Gimple, Jr., Jessy Gimple and Derick Gimple; many cousins, great nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Bernard and Matilda Parsons; Les Haines; sister Melinda Kay and Megan Ray.
The family has chosen not to have any visitation and a graveside services are planned for Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at Bruno Township Cemetery in Andover.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Mercy Home Health & Progressive Health & Hospice for all the care and help with Lori for the past 28 years.
