Loretta Evelin Johnson, 89 , passed away on March 1, 2018 at Lakepoint Nursing Center in El Dorado. She was born in Washington state on July 22, 1928 to Ordia Roland and Albertine B. "Poirier" Leaming; the youngest of eight children; and was raised in Thurston, Washington. She was married to Kyle Leo Johnson on August 15, 1953. Loretta was a homemaker, traveling with her husband while he was serving in the military. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing and made clothing for all of her children while they were growing up. Loretta and Kyle retired in 1980, moving back to Washington from Texas.

L oretta is survived by her children, Michael Johnson, John Johnson(Velda), Sandra Hallmark(Tim) and Anita Farthing(Jerry); grandchildren Christopher Johnson, James Hallmark, Christina Cross, Brian Brundage and Brett Brundage; many great grandchildren, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle; parents and her seven siblings Frances Teresa Leaming Powers, Ordia Rolland Leaming, Homaline Mable Leaming, William M. (Bill) Leaming, Jeannette Lois Odail Leaming, Ezra Walter Leaming and Elvin Collin Leaming; and daughter in law Joan Johnson.

T here will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Chelsea Cemetery on Saturday, March 10, 2018.
