Thomson, Linda JoAnn, 76, passed away on August 10, 2021. Linda was born on February 13, 1945 in Dodge City, Kansas to Raymond and Winifred (Durstine) Strassburg. She attended and graduated from Kinsley High School and then went on to Barton County Community College. She worked in retail and spent many years as the Assistant Manager at K-Mart in Great Bend. As a devout Christian, Linda spent many hours supporting her church communities including the First Southern Baptist Church in El Dorado where she was a member for over 10 years. Dabbling in photography, stained glass, sewing, quilting, reading, cooking and even helping with the farm work; Linda was a true matriarch for her family. She was very artsy and loved working with her hands but her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy in life.

L inda is survived by her sons Kevin Thomson(Shanna) and Brett Thomson(Kristi); brother Doug Strassburg; grandchildren Kelsie, Ashtyn, Sladen, Callie, Locklyn and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Winifred and a brother Bruce.

G raveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Belpre Cemetery, Belpre, Kansas and the family asks that memorial donations in Linda's memory be made to First Southern Baptist Church, 200 Oil Hill Rd., El Dorado, Kansas.
