Laurie Megan Fraser (née Wray) , b orn in Wichita, Kansas, Laurie Megan Fraser passed away peacefully in Andover, Kansas, in October 2025 at the age of 65.

Laurie was a devoted mother, a compassionate professional, and a woman of quiet strength and grace. She graduated magna cum laude from Wichita State University with a bachelor's degree in sociology, reflecting her deep commitment to understanding and uplifting others. Her career in social work began at SRS and continued at the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she served for most of her professional life. Though her time at the VA was often difficult and tumultuous, Laurie remained steadfast in her professionalism and dedication to those she served, navigating challenges with resilience and integrity.

She was married to Jeffray Fraser and was the proud mother of Jeremy Eden-Whitaker (husband Deon Whitaker) and Heather Eden. Laurie shared a particularly close and enduring bond with her son Jeremy, a relationship marked by deep mutual love, trust, and understanding.

Laurie found joy in the simple and beautiful things—especially her garden, where she could often be found tending to blooms and breathing in the peace of nature. She adored dogs, and her beloved Morkie, Bearish, was a constant companion and source of affection.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Perrin Wray; her sister, Kathi Boggs; and her granddaughter, Rebecca Eden. She is survived by her husband, Jeffray Fraser; her children, Jeremy and Heather; and her extended family and friends who will carry forward her legacy of love, resilience, and care.

Laurie's life was a testament to quiet dedication, deep empathy, and the beauty of nurturing both people and plants. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
