Larry Eugene Tanquary "Tank", 82, passed away July 16, 2020 in Wichita.

Born in Arkansas City, Kansas to Harold Tanquary and Esther (Roberts) Tanquary on March 8, 1938 . He was raised alongside his brother, Lyle (Jan), in Kansas. In 1965, he married the love of his life, Roslyn (Rice) Tanquary, and had two daughters.

He was in the Marine Reserves for nine years, and worked for Boeing for 36 years. In his free time, Larry enjoyed endless activities: golf, fishing, going to swap meets, and most importantly, attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

Larry was a sweet and caring man, who loved everyone and everything.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Esther Tanquary. He is survived by his wife, Roslyn of Benton, KS; brother, Lyle (Jan) Tanquary of Wichita, KS, daughters: Tracy (Shawn) Sweat of McPherson, KS; Toni (Jeffrey) Everhart of Andover, KS; grandchildren: Ashley (Matt) Miller of Lincoln, NE; Sarah (Nick) Hale of Derby, KS; Sidney Gile of Sioux City, IA; Andrea Sweat of McPherson, KS; Samuel Gile of Andover, KS; Krista Everhart of Andover, KS; and Matthew Everhart of Andover, KS; great-grandchildren, Luke Miller and Ben Miller of Lincoln, NE.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at The Benton Church in Benton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Benton Church Youth Group.
