BOWSER, LARRY BERT "BOWSER", 78 , took his final victory lap on Monday, October 30, 2023, as he raced to the gates of heaven.  Larry was born on June 22, 1945, in Arkansas City, Kansas, to Bert Bowser Jr and Willamae (Anderson) Bowser. Larry was a dedicated father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and a cherished friend to all who knew him.

Bowser spent the majority of his career in the aviation industry, from manufacturing to product support. He was an avid racing fan, attending races across the United States. He loved all makes of cars, particularly his beloved Corvette and his yellow SSR.

Bowser is survived by his children: Michelle (Charles) Stokes, Michael (Carrie) Bowser, Chris (Stefanie) Dannels, and Courtney (Derrick) Idbeis. Grandchildren: Tyler Christy, Toni Wilson, Christian, Harley, and Nicholas Bowser; Hunter and Dagan Dannels; Charlie, Jones, Bennett, and Dominic Idbeis. Great-grandchildren: Dakota, Harper, Elena, Kolbie, and BaylynneMarie.  His sister, Karen Boyd, nephews Derek, Deren, Dagen, and Danen Boyd, niece Kylee Colaw, and special friend Linda Bowser.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Bert Bowser Jr and Willamae Bowser, and his brother-in-law, Dr. David Boyd.

A service to celebrate Bowser's life will be held at Stearman Airfield Bar & Grill, located at 14789 SW 30th St, Benton, KS on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 12 - 2pm.  His family invites all who knew him to join them in honoring his memory and sharing stories of his remarkable life.

Larry's family would like to thank the staff at Regent Park and the Phoenix Hospice team for their support and kindness.

Larry Bowser will forever be remembered for his unwavering love, his kind and compassionate nature, and his relentless pursuit of adventure.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial in his name is with The Arc of Sedgwick County, Wichita, KS.
