Kevin Ray Rice, was born on August 15, 1965 in El Dorado, Kansas, the son of Morris and Ollie Mae Buckhanon. He passed away on November 27, 2017, having reached the age of 52 years, 3 months, and 12 days.

H e attended the El Dorado public schools and graduated with the class of 1983. He owned an accounting business - Rice Financial Incorporated -  in El Dorado, Kansas, for some years before moving to Wichita, Kansas, where he lived until his death.

K evin was preceded in death by his grandparents William and Mary Rice, Ollie B. and Viola Buckhanon, his parents Morris and Ollie Mae Rice, one brother Billy R. Rice, and one nephew Justin M. Rice. Those he leaves are: two sons Adam and Jacob Rice of Emporia, Kansas; two bothers Maurice Rice of Van Nuys, California; Mac (Loree) Rice of El Dorado, Kansas; five sisters Gladys Wiseman of Orlando, Florida; Janice Rice Wright-Smith (Claude III) of Wichita, Kansas; Mary Rice Mays (Earl), Joyce Rice Gleason (Dennis) and Frances Rice, all of El Dorado, Kansas; and a host of nieces, nephews. and other family members and friends, including a special friend Sheli J. Olney and 3 adopted daughters Alana Wylie, Rebecca Martinez, and Norma Parker, all of Wichita, Kansas.

A memorial gathering will be held at the El Dorado Senior Center, 210 E. 2nd Street, El Dorado, Kansas, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Sunday, March 25, 2018.
