Kenneth Lee Walker entered Heaven peacefully, Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Fowler Residential Care. He was born on October 18, 1930, in Fowler, Kansas to Wesley and Eva Walker.

He graduated from Fowler High School in 1948 then attended Central College in McPherson Kansas and Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany Oklahoma before returning to the family farm.

Kenneth and Martha were married on May 22, 1952, in Fowler, KS at the Friends Church. He worked on the family farm until drafted by the military in 1955. He served in the United States Army earning Sharpshooter (Pistol), Good Conduct Medal & Motor Vehicle Drivers Badge. He served as a tank driver in Germany. Honorable Discharge in May 1957.

He returned to his family in Fowler to a lifetime of farming and raising Polled Hereford cattle. Upon retirement he worked alongside his wife at the Vera Waters Art Center.

Kenneth cherished his family and was one of their greatest supporters. Throughout his children’s and grand children’s school events, he took great pride in supporting their activities. Above all, his faith in Jesus Christ was first and foremost. He faithfully served the church and shared his love for Christ through several mission trips.

He is preceded in death by his Wife (Martha), granddaughter (Alana Whitney), parents (Wesley and Eva), and two brothers Max (Margret) Walker and Ray (Viola)Walker.

Kenneth is survived by his children: Barbara (Keith) Whitney, Karen (Barry) Friesen, Steve (Mindy) Walker, Mark (Carolyn) Walker and multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held Saturday September 26 at 11:00 at the Fowler Cemetery.
