Stener, Kenneth "Kenny" Russell, 65 , passed away on July 5 ^th , 2022 at Lakepoint of Augusta. Kenny was born on December 14 ^th , 1956 at Concordia, KS to Louisa (Jane)Nopel Stener and Rudolf Stener.  He attended school at Courtland, graduating high school in 1976.  Kenny enjoyed working on cars, running demolition derbies with his two sons, camping, playing card games and spending time with family and friends. He also dedicated himself to helping others with recovery from alcohol by being a sponsor and active in the AA community.  Kenny just celebrated 37 years of sobriety this last April.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Jane & Rudolf Stener, his older brother Eugene Stener and Daughter-in-law Tracy. He is survived by his children Stephan Stener of Eureka, KS, Shane Stener of Reece, KS, Leahya Mitchell of Augusta, KS, sister Mary (Terry) Mayhew of Plains, KS, Two grandchildren Landon and Dominic Mitchell, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family of Kenny requests his family and friends to attend a graveside service at his final resting place on July 16 ^th , 2022 at 11 am 444 Valley Rd. Courtland, KS 66939. In Lieu of flowers, memorial funds will be given to Eureka AA in honor of Kenneth Stener.  Donations can be made to Eureka AA in care of Heritage Funeral Home Andover, KS.
