JOHNSON, KAREN SUE, 74 , beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 1, 1949, to Wiley and Gladys Day, in a small town where she would leave an indelible mark through her warmth, resilience, and unwavering spirit.

Karen's journey through life was one marked by dedication and love. She was a graduate of Renton High School, where her passion for music shone brightly. Excelling in her talents, she earned a cherished place in the acapella choir, captivating audiences with her melodious voice.

After graduation, Karen embarked on a new chapter of her life, marrying the love of her life, Glenn. Together, they built a beautiful family, where Karen poured her boundless energy and love into nurturing her children and creating a warm, supportive home. Alongside her family life, Karen pursued a career as a Mary Kay consultant, finding joy in sharing her beauty expertise with others, with Glenn always her most loyal customer.

Throughout her life, Karen faced numerous health challenges with incredible strength and resilience, proving herself to be a fighter in every sense of the word. Her adventurous spirit led her to embrace the great outdoors, where she found solace in camping and cherished moments spent fishing and accompanying Glenn on hunting expeditions. Though her attempt to master the 30-06 rifle ended with a comical mishap, her adventurous spirit remained undiminished.

Karen's faith was central to her life, and she was an active member of her church community. She shared her love of music by singing in the choir and touched the lives of many children through her dedicated work with them, earning their adoration and respect.

Karen leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Glenn Johnson, her loving children, Mindy Stansbarger and Lucas Johnson, her dear sister, Sandra Prozzo, and her adoring grandchildren, Brianna Hoover, Laura Stansbarger, Seth Stansbarger, Elizabeth Stansbarger, Garret Bradley Moser Johnson, and Kaden Lucas Johnson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willy and Gladys Day, and her brothers, Roger, Jerry, Dennis, and William.

Karen Sue Johnson's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and resilience. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, dear Karen. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will live on in our hearts forevermore.
