MITCHELL, JOSHUA STEWART, 45 , passed away on May 25, 2022 at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis on May 25, 2022. Josh was born on January 5, 1977, at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado to Clay Mitchell and Tammy Allar. Attending school in El Dorado, Josh graduated class of 1995. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and camping as well as gardening and growing vegetables to use in his cooking. Basically, anything that would take him outside around nature was alright in Josh's book. As an excellent cook, Josh had the knack to just start throwing things together and making some amazing meals. He began working at Dillons as a meat cutter shortly after graduating and then had his firstborn Allen with Tiffany Whitley. In 2002 Josh married Shannon Beal and they had a daughter Alyssa. He decided to try his hand at running his own business and started a barbershop; Slick's; by Ace Hardware on Main Street. That venture lasted a couple of years and he decided to go back to meat cutting.  Having a good heart and a good sense of humor paired with a generous, giving nature, made it easy to love Josh.  He truly was loved by all he met.

Josh is survived by his children Allen and Alyssa Mitchell; grandparents Frank and Jane Kaster; parents Tammy and Doug Allar and Clay Mitchell; sisters Jandrea Mays(Antwan), Jentrey Waugh(Bob); brother Clint Mitchell; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Clarence and Wanda Mitchell.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 18th, 11 AM - 3 PM, with lunch starting at Noon!  Held at the East Park in El Dorado, KS.  The Joshua Mitchell Memorial Fund has been established at White Eagle Credit Union Bank.
