Jolene was called home February 18, 2024 by our lord and savior Jesus Christ. Jolene was 84 years of age.
Jolene was born to Ivan and Lois Crandall of Coats, KS March 14, 1939. She had two younger sisters, Avola and Vena Crandall. Jolene Graduated from high school in Coats, KS.
She Married Raymond Barnes at Pratt, July 20th, 1957. Together they had 3 children; Robert, Rory & Jodi.
Jolene and Raymond where lifetime ranchers raising cattle and horses, first in Colorado and then back home in Pratt, KS.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, homemaker, elderly care provider, medical transcriptionist, Rancher/Farmer, and full time gate opener for her husband, Raymond.
She never stopped working until the last few years of her life. She spent the last 7 months at Hilltop Manor in Cunningham and a very brief period of time in her final days at Southwind home in Pratt. Both of which provided excellent care for her, God Bless you for all you did.
Her Church home was the Pratt United Methodist Church, and the last few years attended St. Paul Lutheran church of Natrona (Preston).
Jolene was preceded in death by her infant sister Vena; her middle sister Avola (Knopp); her parents, Ivan and Lois; Daughter in Law, Denise Barnes; and her husband, Raymond.
She is survived by her 3 children, Robert (Leann) Barnes of Pratt, KS; Rory (Shar) Barnes of New Mexico; Jodi (Steve) jones of Cullison, KS. Grand Children: Mathew (Josie) Barnes of Wichita; Lindsey Michlar of Pratt; Bella Deardon of Cullison; Brandon McNerny of Cunningham; Spencer McNerny of Leavenworth; and Jayden McNerny of Manhattan. One very special Great Grand Child, Christopher Barnes of Wichita. She was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul Lutheran church in Natrona (Preston), KS Saturday March 2nd, with a private Family Burial to follow. Memorials to be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 40291 NE 40th Ave, Preston, KS 67583
